Born and raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Wyky graduated from Southeast Missouri State with a degree in Corporate Communications with a minor in entrepreneurship.
Back in 2016 Wyky started what is now a nationally recognized mentorship program called the Honorable Young Men Club. Empowering the minds of young men ages 10-18 who were facing challenging situations in school and at home. One of the first groups that Wyky and the other founders worked with in 2017 recently graduated High School this year, Spring of 2022.
In addition to this Wyky is a licensed realtor. As a licensed Missouri Real Estate agent he finds joy in educating members of our community on how to improve their credit score and providing homeownership education. Giving the tools and resources to individuals and families to look forward to a more hopeful lifestyle.
Wyky is one of the catalyst and leaders of a 16 acres planned development on the South Side of Cape Girardeau. An area federally designated a food desert with no reasonable access to affordable and healthy food options.
This information lead to a community survey that informed the leaders of this project of other gaps identified in what’s called social determinants of health.
These social determinants of health care simply essential human needs that have been neglected in this area so generations. The planned development is addressing these items such as affordable rent to own housing, childcare services, a more modern community park, as well as a community center like facility that will house the Jr Achievement program. Providing youth and families access to skills training after school and through out the summer. Wyky Jean is known as one of our local prominent leaders.
